Céline IFCHong Kong2015

This flagship store for Céline in Hong Kong took the Mount Street store concept to further levels of development. The store is located within Hong Kong’s International Finance Centre on Victoria Harbour and organised into a sequence of flowing spaces of oblique geometries set out between a variation of the Mount Street marble parquet and the global geometry of the light ceiling. The use of colour brings both continuities and key feature expressions. Among the spaces for display and storage, circulation, viewing and sitting, the textural elements of materials added a striking haptic layer to the strengths of the visual. Panels of Venetian Terrazzo Lavato were developed for the exterior, a refined and embellished type of concrete, creating a striking and unusual facade.
