Flat in HighgateLondon2016

CMK’s refurbishment of this apartment set within Berthold Lubetkin’s Highpoint, designed in 1935 for Sigmund Gestetner, involved bespoke detailing throughout and the reworking of some original elements. New elements introduced to the apartment included a striking, striped marble and terrazzo floor, a kitchen formed from steel and Corian, a white-tiled wet room and a bathroom finished in terrazzo. The floor is laid in a diagonal pattern and made from a variety of hand-selected stones, bespoke terrazzos with marble and glass inlays, and metal pieces creating a dialogue that is at once powerful and subtle. Door handles and window ironmongery were among the original features recast and refurbished.
