Time Concept StoreSeoul2020

Casper Mueller Kneer’s new architectural identity for the Handsome Corporation’s TIME brand covers the entire physical environment of the store including the walls, floor and ceiling, lighting and furniture design. The stated aim was to create a sensual experience of the space for customers within a narrative landscape. Sculptural elements in the gently curved walls and stone furniture pieces were designed to give the brand qualities of solidity yet lightness.

The flooring is a specially made terrazzo, created in shades of beige and blue. The furniture items, seating and table spaces are made from sedimentation stone, giving them a solidity and weight. The walls are plastered in natural clay. The ceiling is the only immaterial element, offering luminosity and lightness.

All elements in the space were custom-designed and were devised to become part of an extensive brand language as the project continues.
